This program was set up to provide awards and recognition to age group swimmers who achieve qualifiying standards based on Canadian and Provincial listings (TAG and TAS). Standards are established by the Alberta Coaches Council with Swim Alberta Board of Directors approval, and revised the year following the Alberta Time Standards revisions.

T-Shirts (Top 1, Top 10, Top 25 Canadian Swimming printed on front) sent to each club by sponsor Team Aquatic Supplies.
Age Group: 10 & Under
T-Shirts (Top 5 Alberta Swimming printed on front) sent to each club by sponsor Team Aquatic Supplies.
Criteria for standards:
short course and long course
male and female
in place for 2 years
do not become slower
average over ten years
Calculation of standards: the calculation of the Youth Recognition Standards will be based on Canadian and Albertan listings (TAG and TAS). Guidelines for calculation of the standards will be approved by the ACC executive and the Swim Alberta Board of Directors and published in the Swim Guide.
The standards for Top 1, Top 10 and Top 25 times are the average of first, tenth, and twenty fifth in the final TAG listings, short and long course, of the previous 10 years rounded to the nearest tenth.
The standards for Top 5 are the average of the fifth place in the final TAS listings, short and long course, of the previous 10 years rounded to the nearest tenth.
