ACC Coach Education Program

Swim Alberta has allocated $6,000.00 for coach education funding. Coaches can apply to the Alberta Coaches Council with an outline of their intended educational program and the estimated costs for the program. Cost may include travel, accommodations and registration fees. The ACC will review all applications and will allocate funds.

ACC Coach Mentorship Program

Swim Alberta has allocated $15,000.00 for coach mentorship opportunities.
Coach of Record of a swimmer whose performance betters the FINA standard plus 4% will be eligible.

Enhanced Visitation Program                                                    

Swimmers and coaches will be targeted for development and provided visitations to Centre, Academies or selected clubs.

• $10,000.00 has been set aside for access for targeted swimmers and coaches to do visitations to programs that will enhance their skill sets;

• The General Manager and Provincial Coaches will review applications or implement programs to accelerate the development of athletes.

The Northern Region of Swim Alberta has instituted a Coach Development fund whose purpose is to provide support to coaches to persue educational or developmental opportunities that will enhance their coaching abilities.  There are 10 scholarships available valued at $250 each.  These may be combined for use by several coaches for larger projects.

Making Dreams Possible - High Performance and Community Coach Grants

Stacey Levitt Memorial Scholariship - Available to five (5) women per year - Apply from April 1 - May 31. 

WISE Fund (Women in Sport Encouragement Fund) - Grants of $900 to encourage Women in Sport.

Dr. Jeno Tihanyi Memorial Bursary - from Swimming Canada to fund high performance Coach-Swimmer tandems.
