All sanction requests must be made through the Swimming Canada results and rankings web site, http://www.swimmeet.ca/.
This site has been developed for meet sanctioning, meet entries, results, and rankings.
Clubs/Meet managers will no longer have to submit a sanction application and complete meet package to the Swim Alberta for approval. A sanction request will be made through this new system and the meet package will be posted for viewing.
The Swim Alberta time lines still remain:
10 weeks prior to the start of an Open Invitational
5 weeks prior to the start of a Closed Invitational
72 hours prior to the start of a Time Trial or Dual/Tri Meet
If within these timelines then the meet can still be held but a $100.00 late sanction fee will be incurred by the club.
This system will also allow for coaches to complete entries for sanctioned meets on line. All entries, whether completed through the system or not must include the swimmers registration number and date of birth. If either of these are missing then the entries on line will be rejected by the system and the entries personnel will be informed of all corrections required prior to the upload being accepted.
All swimmers must be fully registered to enter into a sanctioned competition. Any club entering unregistered swimmers in a competition will be assessed $100.00 per unregistered swimmer/per meet.
Coaches and/or team manager should do a roster check before entering any swimmers into competitions. This can be completed through https://www.swimming.ca/rostercheck.aspx.
